10 Minutes To Keep Holiday Pounds At Bay

Ok the holidays are here and with all the hustle and bustle of the season, workouts often fall by the wayside, because we don’t have enough time. Use your time wisely, break up your workout into segments and you’ll still be able to make the most out of short pockets of time.

For example the 10 minutes Cardio Burst. – Yes, ideally you want to spend 30 minutes working your cardiovascular system, however, you will rev up your fat-burning metabolism and keep holiday pounds at bay with this cardio burst.

 

Head outdoors and try this:

1 minute: Warm up with a brisk walk
1 minute: Speedwalk
1 minute: Jog or run
1 minute: Speedwalk
1 minute: Jog or Run
1 minute: Jumping Jacks
1 minute: Jog or Run
1 minute: Jumping Jacks
1 minute: Sprint
1 minute: Walk at an easy pace to cool down

You can also do the same type of program with strength training. Watch next week for a compound workout to keep you strong in just 10 minutes.
