Pork Crock Pot Cooking Instructions
  1. Set your crock pot to low
  2. Chop onion and add to crock pot
  3. Combine all dry spices above into a small bowl
  4. Rub spices on all sides of the pork roast
  5. Place pork roast into the crock pot
  6. Pour about 1 cup of barbecue sauce over the pork roast
  7. Cook about 6 to 8 hours (it will look like there is not much liquid in the crock pot as it begins to cook – the pork will slowly add its own juices to the liquid)
  8. Remove pork from crock pot
  9. Scoop out loose onions and set those aside
  10. Strain remaining liquid – you should end up with 1-2 cups of strained liquid
  11. Shred pork and place back into empty crock pot
  12. Add the the cooked onions you set aside and pour the strained liquid back into the pot
  13. Next add 1 to 1 1/2 cups of barbecue sauce, stir and let simmer in crock pot about 30 minutes
  14. Place pork on paleo buns if desired
  15. Top meat with extra barbecue sauce if desired
